The R.I.S.E. Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program
What happens when the students become the solution? R.I.S.E. is a structured, peer-driven mentoring experience that puts students at the center of school culture transformation - not as problems to be solved, but as leaders ready to be activated.
EXPOSURE IS TRANSFORMATIONAL

TESTIMONIALS
Disengagement isn't a discipline problem. It's a belonging problem. When students don't feel seen, heard, or connected to something greater than themselves, academic performance suffers, school culture fractures, and staff morale erodes.
Traditional interventions address the symptoms. R.I.S.E. addresses the root.

Leadership
Development
R.I.S.E. — Recognize, Influence, Shaping, Empowering — is a structured peer mentoring program developed in partnership with the Racine Unified School District (RUSD). At its core, R.I.S.E. trains student leaders to mentor their peers, creating a ripple effect of accountability, connection, and identity development throughout an entire school community.

This isn't a one-time assembly. R.I.S.E. is an ongoing, embedded program designed to live inside your school — not visit it.
The program includes:

-
Student leader selection and mentorship training
-
Structured peer-to-peer mentoring sessions
-
Facilitation support from Dr. V and his team
-
School culture and climate integration
-
Staff alignment and professional development components
-
Documentation and impact tracking

Assemblies
R.I.S.E. wasn't developed in a conference room. It was built on the ground, inside schools, alongside real students who had real reasons to disengage — and real potential to lead.
The program was developed and implemented within the Racine Unified School District through a collaborative process that included student leadership focus groups, staff input, and ongoing facilitation by Dr. V and his co-facilitators. What emerged is a model that is research-informed, community-centered, and district-tested.
R.I.S.E. is now being documented and positioned as a replicable model for districts nationwide — because what works in Racine can work in your community too.
