WHY I BUILT THIS
I WASN'T A STUDENT WHO NEEDED A PROGRAM. I WAS THE STUDENT THE PROGRAM WAS BUILT FOR.
For years, a row of mugshots told the story people believed about me. I was written off, the one the statistics said wouldn't make it.
Then education changed my life. Teachers and mentors who refused to give up on me lit a path I couldn't yet see, and it led to twenty-plus years in corporate leadership, a doctorate, and the work I do today.
R.I.S.E. is the program I wish I'd had. It gives students the leaders, the skills, and the belief I found too late, right now, from the peers sitting beside them.
